STAMFORD COMMUNITY ORCHARD GROUP

A fortnight ago on Friday the 25th of April six of our group: Adam, Nigel, Becky, Keith, Chris and Avril ran a stall in the High Street for publicity purposes and in particular to promote the forthcoming “Blossom Day” nine days later on Sunday May the 4th. 

We were fortunate to have the stall very well located just outside of the library and so had a good number of passers by. 

 

It was generally agreed that it was successful and worthwhile since we fielded numerous enquiries, making it known as to whereabouts our three orchards in the town are, and generally explaining what we do, and what our objectives are. 

 

A number of our greeting cards were sold, plus some of Adam’s home made cider and cider vinegar. 

 

Unfortunately only one photograph was taken just after setting up, but we will take more photos at the next stall which is already booked for Friday the 26th of September, eight days prior to “Apple Day” on Saturday 4th October.
